Back to School: Survival Guide

In Service is in full swing! The first week is over and were moving on to our second. My classroom is almost set up with just a few details here and there. School hasn’t even started yet and I’m already digging through my bag wishing I brought certain things. What are those things? I’m talking about items of survival! Things that will get you through the school year!

  • Ibuprofen/tylenol
  • Heel insoles
  • nail kit
  • chap stick
  • airborne
  • nail polish remover
  • cotton squares
  • safety pins
  • bobby pins/hair ties
  • tampons/pads
  • sunscreen
  • breath mint/gum
  • candy/chocolate
  • button
  • thread and needle
  • band-aides
  •   stress ball
  • cough drops
  • alka seltzer
  • perfume/fragrance mist
  • hand lotion
  • tide to go stick

An old makeup bag that you aren’t using anymore will be perfect to hold it all. You can place all of the small items in an old eyeglass case that your not using anymore. The TBP one that I’m using is actually a pencil/pen holder. If your starting school, whether you’ll be doing the teaching or the learning, I suggest having this survival kit! And if your a parent and your little one is starting school this would be a nice gift to a teacher.
